Modern BMWs bond aluminum to high-strength steel using structural adhesive and rivets, not just welds. Some panels must be replaced while others can be repaired. Structural adhesive has to be injected at specific points. Rivets have to be used where BMW specifies them. Getting any of these steps wrong compromises the strength and safety of the vehicle. BMW-Specific ADAS Calibration
BMWs have cameras and radar sensors in the bumpers, grilles, side mirrors and windshields.
