SVE holds manufacturer certifications from five automakers and follows each one's exact repair procedures, parts requirements and calibration standards. A certification is not a marketing claim. It is a verified credential that is reviewed and maintained on an ongoing basis.

Your Factory Warranty Stays Intact
Repairs at a non-certified shop using non-OEM parts can give the manufacturer grounds to deny future warranty claims on the repaired area. A certified shop removes that risk entirely.
OEM Parts on Every Certified Repair
Each manufacturer's certification requires the use of their own OEM parts. Not aftermarket. Not recycled. The same parts your vehicle was built with, sourced directly from the manufacturer.
Manufacturer-Specific Tooling and Training
Certified shops must carry the manufacturer's required repair equipment and complete ongoing make-specific training. This is verified, not self-declared. A shop either has the tools and the credentials or it does not.
ADAS Recalibration to Factory Spec
Modern vehicles carry cameras, radar and sensors throughout the body structure. After a collision these systems must be recalibrated using manufacturer-specified equipment. Only certified shops have that equipment on-site.

What does manufacturer certification mean for a collision repair shop?
YES
Manufacturer certification means the shop has been inspected and approved by the automaker to perform repairs using their official procedures, parts and equipment. The certification is not self-declared. It is granted by the manufacturer after verification and reviewed on an ongoing basis. SVE holds certifications from five manufacturers including BMW, Nissan, Hyundai, GM and Kia.
How does using a certified shop protect my factory warranty?
YES
When a repair is performed outside the manufacturer's certified network using non-OEM parts or incorrect procedures, the manufacturer can deny future warranty claims on the repaired area. A certified shop uses OEM parts and follows the manufacturer's exact repair specifications, which preserves your coverage. This is especially important for vehicles still under the original factory warranty.
Does SVE use OEM parts on all certified repairs?
YES
Yes. Each manufacturer's certification program requires the use of their own OEM parts as a condition of certification. For BMW this is required by BMW directly. For Nissan, Hyundai, GM and Kia the same applies through their respective certification programs. We do not source aftermarket substitutes on certified repairs.
Do I have to go to the shop my insurance company recommends?
NO
No. In Colorado you have the legal right to choose your own collision repair facility regardless of which shop your insurance company prefers or recommends. Your insurer may suggest a shop within their Direct Repair Program network. You are not required to use it. You have the right to bring your vehicle to any certified facility you choose.
How do I know if a shop is actually certified versus just claiming to be?

Legitimate manufacturer certifications are verifiable through the manufacturer's own online locator tools. Nissan, Hyundai, Kia and GM all maintain searchable databases of certified facilities. BMW certification is verifiable through BMW's certified collision center network. If a shop cannot point you to their listing on the manufacturer's official locator, the certification claim should be questioned.
