Good color matching holds in all lighting. A bad match looks slightly off in temperature, either too warm or too cool, when the angle changes. Check the panel gaps. Open the trunk and look at the gap between the bumper and each fender on both sides. They should be even. An uneven gap means the bumper was not installed correctly on its brackets. Mobile bumper repair operations that offer to fix your bumper in a parking lot for cash are typically using temporary fillers and rattle-can paint that will not hold up beyond a few months. The color match is almost never accurate because they are not using spectrophotometer equipment or blending into adjacent panels. There is no warranty. There is no documentation. If the repair fails you have no recourse. A bumper that has been poorly repaired and then needs to be properly fixed costs more than doing it right the first time because the previous work has to be removed first. Bring it to a certified shop, get a written estimate, get photo documentation and get a warranty in writing before any work begins.
