Full Inspection Before the New Hood Goes On
Once the damaged hood is removed we examine every component including the hood latch, struts, hinges, alignment points and core support structure. Dry-Fit Before Any Paint

Replacing a steel hood with fiberglass or aluminum introduces fitment variables that an OEM replacement avoids. At SVE we use OEM parts on every hood replacement. This preserves manufacturer fit, finish and warranty compatibility. Aftermarket panels can introduce panel gap inconsistencies and paint adhesion issues that OEM parts do not. Hood replacement involves more than unbolting one panel and bolting on another. Hinge alignment, strut adjustment and panel gap calibration require tools and experience to get right. A misaligned hood is immediately visible and a hood that does not sit flush with both fenders is the kind of result that is obvious to anyone who looks at the car.
